WWF – April 26, 1986

Coming from Boston, Massachusetts we have our next house show. This show takes place only nineteen days removed from Wrestlemania II. With Wrestlemania II in the rear view mirror, and being so recent, nothing major has changed in the title picture. Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and The British Bulldogs are your reigning World, Intercontinental and Tag Team Champions respectively. The only match announced for this show is Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine versus Davey Boy Smith & Pedro Morales, but at only an hour long I assume we won’t have too many other matches, so let’s head to the ring. WWF Grand Slams

It’s time for another classic WWF Coliseum Home Video release. This one is called Grand Slams and the box is bright yellow with George Steele, Kamala and King Kong Bundy on the cover. That’s a good sign, two of my favourites right on the box. Advertised matches include Bundy winning in 9 seconds, Iron Sheik winning the Title, Mr Fuji and Mr Saito winning the Tag Titles, Andre versus 3 opponents and Mene Gene in the ring. Wait, Mene Gene in the ring? Really, this is going to be something to see as Gene teams with Hulk Hogan to face George Steele and Mr Fuji! It’s funny because I just added a Mene Gene LJN figure to my collection this weekend! Let’s start rolling the tape! Continue reading

Best of the WWF Volume 6

It features Hulk Hogan with a headlock on Randy Savage, and also shots of Terry Funk, Randy Savage and Elizabeth. Advertised matches include Savage versus Hogan and Ivan Putski versus Johnny Valiant, hope we get better stuff then that last match or this could be a long ninety minutes. Let’s get this tape started and see what the WWF has to offer this time. Continue reading
