The Week in Review – February 23 – 26, 2010

Best Match of the Week

1. Dolph Ziggler v. R-Truth v. John Morrison from Smackdown 9.5/10
Worst Match of the Week

1. Rob Terry v. Ken Anderson from Impact DUD

This week we had the debut of the newest WWE Show, NXT, which was actually a very good show. I’m looking forward to next week’s episode, but I won’t be recapping NXT at all. This week’s show of the week is Smackdown which had four very good matches.

Monday Night RAW averaged a 5/10 for five matches in two hours. Two of the matches were actually very good, the six man tag and Christian/Carlito. Surprisingly this was a good episode of RAW, and began the build up for Wrestlemania.

WWE Superstars averaged 7/10 for three matches in an hour. All three matches were good this week, with the six person match being very impressive considering it had Khali and Maria in it. Sadly this marks Maria’s farewell match from the WWE, which sucks. Hope to see her on TV again. Been a fan of hers since seeing her on the Outback Jack reality show.

TNA Impact averaged 4/10 for five matches in two hours. Not a great show from TNA as all the matches felt rushed so they could to the backstage stuff. TNA needs to focus on the matches and less on the vignettes. That and way too much Bischoff, he’s in every segment, which is killing the show.

Friday Night Smackdown 6.25/10 for five matches in two hours. This was a great episode of Smackdown, only marred by the bullshit from McCool and Vickie. The triple threat match was amazing and the other three matches were very good. If we had had a better diva match, like Mickie versus anyone but horseface this would’ve had a much higher rating.

Not a bad week of wrestling, but TNA has really been falling apart. I hope they have something better then Hogan v. Flair planned for Monday nights or they are going to get destroyed.
