Monday Night RAW – March 1, 2010

Last week the WWE released four Superstars, Paul Burchill, Hurricane, Charlie Haas, and Maria. Three names were no surprise, but Maria’s came as a big shock. She’s been prominently featured on TV teaming with Matt Hardy & Great Khali & next week the Apprentice premiers. Seemed odd to let her go at the same time she’s is going to be on a major TV show, but they did. I doubt these will be the final four releases, as more will probably come. Getting to tonight’s show, the guest hosts are none other than Cheech & Chong, as Vince shows what decade he thinks it is. Seriously, they haven’t been relevant in about thirty years, but to Vince they’re hip and cool. Also last week three matches for Wrestlemania were announced, Edge v. Jericho, Undertaker v. Shawn & Batista v. Cena. I still say HHH gets in the middle of Cena/Batista; after all it’s not Wrestlemania without a Triple H title match. So let’s get to tonight as we continue on the road to Wrestlemania.

Monday Night RAW: Don’t blink or you’ll miss the divas!

Monday Night RAW – February 8, 2010

Last week on RAW, guest host William Shatner announced this week’s main event. D-X will defend their tag team titles against the Straight Edge Society & the Miz & Big Show in a three way match. This would seem to be a great way for D-X to lose the titles and not have to get pinned, a Shawn Michaels classic. We were supposed to have the finals of the Diva tournament but that got bumped for the classic Kofi Kingston v. Big Show match last week, maybe this week they can actually finish the tournament. Also last week Bret Hart finally got his hands on Vince McMahon, only to be attacked by Batista. John Cena made the save, but got Batista Bombed on the stairs, which should lead to the match between Cena and Batista. That’s going to suck, but at least it keeps them out of the title picture for Wrestlemania. Let’s see what happens tonight with some NASCAR person guest hosting. Read more…

Monday Night RAW: Weakest championship reign ending soon?

Monday Night RAW – January 25, 2010

After the debacle that was last week’s show, I am really hoping for something good this week. Also with the Royal Rumble this Sunday, I hope they can do a good job building to it. Last week, we saw the Undertaker decline the challenge of Shawn Michaels, and tell him if he wants Undertaker, he will have to win the Rumble. HHH said he is in the Rumble, along with Cena, and Big Show, among others. Hopefully we get a couple surprise entrants in the Rumble this year, but for now let’s get to RAW! Read more…

The Week in Review – January 18 – 22, 2010

The Week in Review – January 18 – 22, 2010

Finally reach the end of one of the worst weeks of wrestling TV ever, as RAW, Smackdown, and Impact were absolutely garbage this week. It’s sad when the two hour long shows are the better shows, what is going wrong with the business? Read more…

Monday Night RAW: Avoid this show at all costs!!!

Monday Night RAW – January 18, 2010

Welcome to a new week of recaps, this week’s Monday Night Raw is being hosted by the former star of Miami Vice and Nash Bridges, Don Johnson. Not sure I understand the reason behind him being guest host, but considering they have Jerry Springer hosting soon, there seems to be no rhyme or reason behind these hosts. Before I start the RAW recap, I just have to say, is 24 not the best show ever or what? The last two nights have been an amazing start to another great season, just hate the week long wait between episodes, but I digress. I also read that the WWE released Eric Escobar last week, was never a fan of the guy, but it’s too bad for him. It’s always sad to see anyone released, but worse when they’re young and will only be remembered for being Vickie’s boytoy. With all of that out of the way, let’s get to this week’s episode of RAW. Week in Review – January 11-15, 2010

Week in Review – January 11-15, 2010

It hasn’t been a very impressive week for the flagship shows for each company, as RAW was absolute garbage and Impact was just too much in one show. RAW is just so mind numbingly boring, while TNA is just the opposite. So much happened in two hours of TNA by the time the show ends, you really don’t remember anything that happened. It just seemed like a major overload of things in one show, while RAW moves so slowly you can skip ten minutes and miss nothing.  Smackdown, ECW and Superstars really delivered with some great stuff this week, saving the week. Monday Night RAW: How Many Times Can We Make Jericho Look Like an Idiot?

Monday Night RAW – January 11, 2010

Well, after a chaotic day yesterday, finally have a chance to watch RAW for this week. Tonight’s guest host is Iron Mike Tyson, which should be interesting. Mike Tyson has been in WWE before, getting in a shoving match with Steve Austin and knocking out Shawn Michaels. We should have more on the continuing saga between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon, although reports are that Bret is not in the building tonight. Let’s get to RAW! Read more…

Monday Night RAW: RAW is Bret

WWE Monday Night RAW – January 4, 2010

Tonight we see the return of Bret Hart to the WWE, in what should be a great night. TNA had their big Monday night show as well, and it was amazing, so let’s see if WWE can come close to that.

We open RAW with the same Bret Hart video from last week’s RAW showing his various title wins, which then segues into the Survivor Series 1997 screw-job. Still amazed it’s been twelve years since that night, time sure does fly. We go live to the arena and Justin Roberts introduces this week’s guest host. Read more…

WWE Monday Night RAW: Short Matches run rampant! And I don’t mean midgets!

WWE Monday Night RAW – December 28, 2009

With one week until TNA attempts a battle with the WWE, it looks like WWE is not going to hold anything back. The story of Bret Hart’s return leaked online before the holidays and now it’s official. Next Monday night should be one great night for TV and I really hope TNA can be competitive with the WWE, guess we shall wait and see. But before we get to that night, we have this week to get through, and tonight’s episode of RAW is hosted by some rapper I think, not sure who he is, not my genre of music, and the main event of Sheamus defending the title against John Cena. Should be an interesting show tonight, so let’s get it started! Read more…

Week in Review: December 21-25, 2009

Ok, I’m a week late on this, but what can you do right. Anyway there were only the WWE shows for the week, so not a big week of shows. Let’s get right to the top matches of the week. Read more…
